Introducing Mosaic: A minimal abstract gradient wallpaper developed for the new Wireframe skin across the !Boring Suite of applications.
Introducing a collection of minimal mosaic wallpapers for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The origin of these wallpapers began in May of 2023 when I released Feels Like Spring, a wallpaper based on the pattern of a mosaic-like logo used on some Apple gift cards. But after I had released that wallpaper, I continued expanding the pattern and created a massive 10211 x 18767px canvas. For one reason or another, that wallpaper laid dormant until Andy of Not Boring Software Corp (half the creative force behind apps like Vibes, Calculator, Timer, Weather, and the Apple Design Award-winning Habits) asked if I could create a wallpaper for the upcoming wireframe skin being released across the !Boring suite of apps in mid-January. We batted a few ideas back and forth, and I got the seal of approval from Andy for dark and light gradient versions of these mosaic pieces.
The wallpapers are available here and through the Not Boring suite of apps. Both light and dark versions are available for the iPad, iPhone, and Mac. Few developers dedicate so much fit and finish to creating delightful apps like the Not Boring suite of utilities, so I am thankful to Andy and Mark for allowing this artwork to play a small part in their creation.
