Trust the Process(or)

Live long, and compute.* 🖖

I'm often asked about my "creative process," exactly how I come up with the designs and ideas that I post on this blog. And frankly, it's a question I often try to sidestep. And it's not that I think it's a bad question; it's that I feel I only have a stupid answer to give them. Some of my more recent posts have been inspired by beer, a sweater from the 1980s, and even a doughnut. Basically, I move around the world, see stuff, and ask something akin to "could I "Applefy" this? See, I told you it was a stupid answer.

This latest project is no different. Its origin began when Apple debuted the M1 Ultra, touting their new chip as a fusion of two M1 Max Chips. During the presentation, Apple had a slide showing a side-by-side of their four chips - from the M1 through M1 Ultra - and all I could do was sit there and think, 'heh... that kinda looks a Borg cube'. That thought, coupled with the chance to interact with a few folks during the keynote, spun this silly idea into a wallpaper & t-shirt design. It's a cubed M1 Max chip design that started as a thought, became a meme, and is now a pretty gorgeous looking design to adorn yourself or your Apple devices.

M1³ Wallpapers

The M1³ wallpaper is available for your Mac, iPad, & iPad, big enough for that new Apple Studio Display you might have coming to your doorstep soon.

M1³ Tee

And while the wallpaper looks gorgeous on your Mac, I felt it might look even better on your person. To that end, I've also published the design to Cotton Bureau as a tee available in a range of sizes, with two styles - a colourful and a monochrome version - both available.
