Apple’s design department does it again, creating a beautiful logo adorning the facade of the soon-to-be-opened Via del Corso Apple Store in Rome, Italy.

Apple is set to open its latest flagship store in the heart of Rome, Apple Via del Corso. John Voorhees over at MacStories.net published a piece about the store’s location and significance, writing:

Palazzo Marignoli, the building in which Apple’s new store is housed, has been carefully restored to its late 19th century glory. The palazzo once housed Caffè Aragno, a destination for writers, painters, and other creatives of Rome, a history that fits nicely with Apple’s vision of its flagship stores as destinations for creativity through technology.”

So while we await the grand opening and the reveal of how the interior has been restored, I couldn’t help but take a stab and recreating the Apple logo adorning the window coverings of Via del Corso, a marble infused with the iconic six colors of the Apple logo. The logo was recreated using Pixelmator Pro and a marble texture from Unsplash.

2021.05.16: The iPhone(alt) wallpaper is the brainchild of Parker Ortolani. He showed me his idea for the Apple Logo outside Via del Corso, and I quickly mocked it up with the layers I’d previously created.
