BasicClips Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
BasicClips does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer or to any third party.
Your data stays yours. Everything you save in BasicClips — clips, links, notes, folders, tags, and attachments — is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud database. The developer has no access to this data and no ability to read it.
No tracking. BasicClips contains no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs. It does not create accounts or profiles.
Network requests. When you save a link, BasicClips fetches publicly available metadata (such as a title and preview image) directly from the linked website to display a preview. These requests go straight from your device to the site in question; nothing about them is sent to or logged by the developer.
iCloud sync. Sync is optional and uses Apple's CloudKit service under your Apple Account. It is subject to Apple's privacy policy. You can disable sync at any time in BasicClips settings.
Contact. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@basicappleguy.com
If a future version of BasicClips changes any of this, this policy will be updated before that version ships.
