On April 20, 2021, Apple revealed the new iMac, the first from-the-ground-up redesign of an Apple product since the announcement of Apple Silicon, & the first substantial iMac redesign in over a decade.

A few weeks ago, I accidentally left on Do Not Disturb. I haven't turned it off, nor have I wanted to, and honestly, it's one of the best decisions I've made in a long time.

The truth is that the creative process requires a combination of curiosity, experimentation, inquisitiveness, luck, and on occasion, the frustration tolerance of a monk.

No specs, no gripping about the dated design, and no benchmarks, just a few of my impressions on Apple's latest (possibly last) round of updates (or lack thereof) to the Intel iMacs.

macOS Big Sur & the transition to Apple Silicon has made me the more excited for the Mac roadmap than I have been in over a decade. Is the Mac, and Mac development, is on the cusp of being dramatically reinvigorated?
