At Apple’s September 15 Apple Watch & iPad event, Apple introduced, for the first time, three entirely new bands: The Solo Loop, The Braided Solo Loop, & the Leather Link. They also refreshed their existing Sport Bands, Sport Loops, Leather Loop, Modern Buckles, & Nike & Hermès band offerings with new fall colours.

The truth is that the creative process requires a combination of curiosity, experimentation, inquisitiveness, luck, and on occasion, the frustration tolerance of a monk.

On July 10, 2008, I shot out of bed and ran over to my Mac, plugged in my iPod touch, and eagerly installed the latest version of iPhoneOS, iPhoneOS 2.0, the software version that introduced the mobile App Store. Of the 500 apps available on launch day, these are some of the first four applications I downloaded on that very first day.

A trend seen throughout August was the temporary closure of retail locations. Globally, several locations would temporarily close for 4-14 days before reopening to the public. August also saw a significant slowdown in Apple Stores closing indefinitely due to increasing COVID-19 cases. However, several US states and Spain saw such closures as higher COVID-19 case rates continued in localized areas.

The Leather Loop debuted with the Apple Watch when it was released on April 24, 2015. With rumours that a new Leather Loop redesign may soon take its place, I wanted to take a moment and present a short retrospective on the Leather Loop.

Switched to the Amazon Kindle from the iPad mini as my dedicated eReader. Here are some meandering thoughts about why I made this decision and my first impressions upon switching.
