A memo distributed to employees by Apple SVP of Retail and People stated that Apple stores in the US would remain closed until early May.
April 16, 2020
Location: π°π· South Korea
Apple announces that its first store outside of greater China would reopen on April 18, 2020. The Apple Garosugil store in Seoul, South Korea would open a range of measures (reduced hours, temperature checks, density controls) to protect customers and staff.

The Apple Garosugil store in Seoul, South Korea reopens.

"According to Bloomberg, Apple will keep the store on reduced hours 'to ensure customers and employees continue to stay healthy,' and the focus will be on offering product support instead of making sales, with Apple urging customers to use online ordering and in-store pick up for those interested in buying products."

In an internal video update to staff, Apple SVP of Retail & People Deirdre O'Brien stated: "we are continuing to analyze this health situation in every location, and I do expect we will reopen up many more stores in May."
