Rewind 2022: Wallpapers
With 2022 nearly over, I wanted to quickly rewind and highlight three of my favourite wallpapers of the past year. Of the 65 entries I published this year, 50% were wallpaper entries. I am lucky to be in a position where I have the time to create these wallpapers for the Apple community, and I feel honoured by everyone who has reached out to say thank you or shared a screenshot. Enjoy this quick recap of my favourite three wallpapers of 2022, and check out my 2022 Archive for many more wallpapers from the past 12 months.
Apple Stage
A happy accident resulting from fiddling with sliders in Pixelmator ultimately helped inspire this wallpaper of the stage inside the central courtyard of Apple Park. I love this wallpaper's vivid neon fluorescent feel, which looks particularly sharp on the iPhone and Mac.
M2 MacBook Air Schematic
Coming in just north of 5,260 individual pieces, the M2 MacBook Air schematic wallpapers are my favourite Mac wallpaper created to date. I poured my heart (and weeks of work) into a wallpaper that shows off the stunning internals of the MacBook Air Apple debuted at WWDC this year.
iPhone 14 Pro Schematics
Perhaps the pièce de résistance this year was the schematics I created for the iPhone 14 Pro lineup. The hundreds of hours I spent learning & working on schematics for the iPhone 12 & 13, the MacBook Pro, the Studio Display, and finally, the MacBook Air culminated in this stunning iPhone 14 Pro schematic.
Honourable Mention
There were so many other projects I worked on that I wanted to call out just a few others. Honourable mentions go to:
🏴☠️ Apple's Jolly Roger: I love the lore behind Apple's Pirate Flag so much that I decided it turn it into a wallpaper.
🌈 Apple Pixel Park: One of my first attempts at creating a pixel art piece.
🌊 Making Waves: A clean and simple textured wallpaper for all your Apple devices.
Once again, thank you for your appreciation and support over the past year. I plan to continue delivering new wallpapers over the coming months and am excited to show you what I have planned next.
SUPPORT
I’m a one-person operation, working in healthcare by day & running this site as a passion project in my off time.
If you enjoy my work (the articles, the wallpapers, my general demeanour… anything really), consider leaving a tip & supporting the site. Your support is incredibly appreciated & goes a long way to keep this site and the works I produce ad-free & free of charge.
