Ring in the new year with a wallpaper inspired by Apple’s Japan New Year Edition Gift Card.
Apple has celebrated the Japanese New Year and Chinese New Year for many years. In Japan, a two-day shopping event on January second and third featured an exclusive Red Apple gift card and the option to receive an exclusive Year of the Rabbit AirTag when purchasing an eligible Apple Product.

In other Asian countries, Apple is celebrating the Chinese New Year with a Special Edition AirPods Pro with a Year of the Rabbit engraving exclusive to those markets. Apple has been offering AirPods Pro with these unique engravings for the past few years, with a Year of the Tiger engraving in 2022 and a Year of the Ox engraving in 2021.
Ahead of Chinese New Year, Apple is also releasing a limited edition set of AirPods Pro with a special engraving on the case.
To help celebrate the season, I recreated the minimal white and gold bow found on the gift cards distributed exclusively in Japan during their New Years' promotion. Versions of the wallpaper have been made for the iPad, Mac, & iPhone. Enjoy.
