Year of the Horse Wallpapers
Tuesday, February 17, 2026 marks the start of the next Lunar New Year, the Year of the Horse.
For more than half a decade now, Apple has released special Lunar New Year items in select Asian markets, including engraved AirTags and AirPods featuring that year’s zodiac animal. These have been available in regions such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore. Historically, this period usually comes with sales or special discounts on select products, much like Apple’s Black Friday deals in Western markets.

Across these markets, Apple is currently featuring a hero graphic on its website celebrating the Year of the Horse and directing customers to the online store, where limited-edition third-party accessories and special engraved AirPods Pro 3 are available to purchase.

Apple has historically not released Lunar New Year wallpapers, with the exception of the Year of the Dragon, so I wanted to take this graphic and turn it into a wallpaper for everyone to enjoy. The image on Apple’s website was just a bit too small, so I upscaled it, added more of the golden background, resized and repositioned it, and then formatted it for Apple devices. Enjoy!
